Dieta’s kettles are designed and manufactured at Dietatec, Dieta’s own kettle production in Helsinki. Ville-Veikko Litmanen, our new Managing Director at Dietatec, is certainly familiar to many customers and partners of our kettles — after all, he’s been working in sales and the development of Dieta kettles for years. The challenges and expectations of professional kitchens have become familiar to him throughout the years in Finland, Australia, as well as the Middle East. In his new task, Ville-Veikko continues to make life easier for kettle users and helps support their success. ‘Customer first’ is still his motto.

Family life, work and crossfit’s challenges

At home, however, family is priority number one. Ville-Veikko spends time outdoors with his kids and combines this with his crossfit hobby. His little daughters jump on the gym mats at the same time as dad challenges himself. Across the Atlantic Ocean, crossfit sucked Ville-Veikko in already over a decade ago, before the sport landed in Finland. Nowadays, Ville-Veikko does not crossfit as much, but the spark to overcome challenges still exists. “If I notice that I don’t know something, I have to practice it. There is a competitive aspect, too. A friend has to be one-upped in something”, states Ville-Veikko with a smile on his face.

Manufacturing the world’s best kettles — responsibly

Having studied biotechnology and electronics, Ville-Veikko has transferred effortlessly from medical and electronic devices to food production equipments. “The direction of professional kitchens is to utilise automation and processes, as finding professional employees is challenging in many fields. When professionals are provided with intelligent devices, their know-how can be better utilised. People will always have a place in the kitchen”, notes Ville-Veikko.

Dieta kettles have been manufactured for over 25 years. There are personnel still in production and management who have been there from the beginning. Ville-Veikko describes the company as one group where customers’ problems from around the world are actively solved together. This is reflected in the constant product development and innovations, in countless product modifications, and in the desire to support the mixer kettle users. When the kettle users are kept in mind from the beginning, the products generate well-being, mitigate risks, and make work safer and easier.

New Genier kettles and the direction of Dietatec’s progress

Dieta has just launched a new generation Genier mixing kettles. As the new CEO, how does Ville-Veikko see the development of the kettles and the company?
“With our new products, we can solve different customer problems even better”, he says. In kettle development, we can see focal development trends:

  • Quality food is produced even more cost-effectively
  • Intelligent devices do the different stages of work more effectively, easier, faster, and more ergonomically than before.
  • The devices are used to ease the personnel workload and they are safe to use.
  • The benefits of mixing kettles in professional kitchens are not as known around the world as they are in Finland.
  • Dietatec wants to be a part of bringing Finnish competence to the world, and to enable food production responsibly and effectively without bargaining on food safety and quality.

“In food production processes with mixer kettles, we want to be a brave pioneer internationally. We bring new solutions and working methods — and we dare to suggest our customers something that perhaps they did not expect”.
