Technology is evolving rapidly, and change is constant. Dietatec introduced a new generation of kettles in 2020, but despite this, the focus on longevity is still there.
Janne originally ended up working for Dietatec due to an acquisition. When Dieta offered the opportunity for new tasks for Janne, his answer was positive. Today, Janne is part of a 4-person team responsible for spare parts acquisition and sales.
The range of products that Dieta distributes makes Janne's job varied. Dietatec focuses on intelligent kettles, while Janne also works to support Dieta's project business in Finland. Dieta equips entire restaurants and large kitchens.
I want to fulfill Dieta's ambition to be a reliable equipment supplier that looks after its customers throughout their lifecycles. In this way, our customers will be satisfied for years, which is emphasized when working with long-life investments.
Building a professional kitchen is a significant investment, and Dieta's starting point is that the equipment should pay for itself and serve for years precisely as intended. With decades of history with quality products, long-lasting, older models of Dieta kettles are still in use around the world. Dieta extends the life of its products with original spare parts, and sourcing and selling them is part of Janne's job description.
The work sometimes resembles detective work. The clues are in the documentation, which in the 90s was yet to be approached with the same diligence as today. The equipment base is constantly being updated, which means that documentation also needs to be handled professionally.
Not only is the level of documentation for older models a challenge, but it is also sometimes difficult to obtain spare parts. On top of this, we, like many others, have been hit by a shortage of components.
In Janne's work, rapid response is critical, as Dieta kettles can be found worldwide. Well-managed logistics ensure customers that spare parts are dispatched to their destination within 24 hours of notification. The extensive service network ensures that downtime is kept to a minimum.
Working with a friendly team is meaningful, and the excellent spirit of Dieta is passed on to customers. Janne's work is mainly customer work, and he often works with service companies. In difficult situations, help is always available from the service advisory service, and Aki Ainetdin, also familiar with partners, helps Janne too.
Janne starts his working day early, as there are often things to do in the evenings. The family has two daughters who love skating, and drivers to the ice halls are needed daily. Like many people who support their children's passions, Janne feels he is doing a good job, even if the girls' hobby essentially fills his time.
The good thing about long training sessions is that you can take care of your fitness while waiting.
And what you wouldn't do for your children, Janne concludes.
